Apple Safari

Please note special configuration under step 3 especially for mobil devices like iPad. Proxy cannot be configured for mobile connection with via 3G, LTE, 5G and only per WLAN (e.g. you WLAN at home). If your are not at home the proxy settings have to setup for each WLAN you connect to!

1. Find Proxy Preferences / Settings

Safari allows configuration of proxy only on system level, that#s why we recommend using Firefox!

Please go to Safari Settings" - under the "Safari" menu and "Preferences"

Her click tab "Advanced"

2. Go to System Proxy Settings

Please click button next to "Proxies" -> "Change Settings", a system dialog will appear:

3. Configure Automatic Proxy Settings

Please check "Automatically Proxy Configuration" and enter exatcly:"https://elibrary.esavs.eu/proxy.pac" into "Porxy Configuration File" text entry field, then "ok".

Please note: In MacOS (as well as in iOS, ipadOS), proxy configuration is per "Network", usually you should only have one on your local PCs. On Mobile devices this is also per connected WLAN, which might make that quite uncomfortable. Also iOS devices do not allow proxy configuration for mobile internet access via 3G, LTE, 5G!

4. Done

You should be all set now: all traffic to the preselected publishers should go now thru us, any other website will not be affected! Please make sure you try common interent sites you visit regularly to check whether access is still fine!
